Charlotte McDevitt
Beginning her sustainability adventure 20 years ago, Charlotte focused on waste management in a large city setting. After relocating to the Caribbean, she has spent the past 14 years researching and implementing sustainable solutions for small islands. Promoting the concept of sustainability, to a broad range of multicultural audiences, has many facets and involves interdisciplinary teams in an exciting, innovative journey to solve problems, develop local products, enhance local skills and create futures.
Stephen Phoon
Stephen had an epiphany more than ten years ago about the perils of anthropogenic activity on the environment. It led him to exit his software career, get formal education in sustainability and sustainable development, and become an entrepreneur a career where he works with and advises corporates on environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices. Stephen has extensive experience working in and with institutions to develop and promote sustainability actions among internal and external stakeholders. He has also served in a humanitarian non-profit that provides aid those affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Andre Chin
Andre has a background in data and finance and a self study in sustainability. He is interested in new ways of doing things, understanding new technology and finding solutions that work for people and the planet. He believes we must combine our efforts towards solving multiple problems together. Seeing is believing, so a well designed demonstration for the public is what is needed to help people see new possibilities they cannot see on their own. Talk will only get you so far.
Mark Takefman
Mark has worked in business development and administration for over 30 years and has been an organizational development advisor (ODA) in the citizen sector (non-profits) in Canada, the USA, India and China for over two decades. He has sat on community service committees and boards in Canada and the US as well as being a volunteer for many international organizations. As an Organizational Development Advisor Mark has conducted workshops and training courses, mentored staff and has led expeditions into the wilderness. He worked almost 5 years with the environmental NGO: Chengdu Urban Rivers Association in Chengdu, China as ODA, fundraiser, conference producer and project leader. For the past 10 years he has also worked as ODA and volunteered with the Gyan Disha Vikas Sansthan School in Balotra, Rajasthan, India.

Patrick Metzger
Patrick is a project and communications professional, with extensive experience in the financial services industry and a keen interest in maintaining a livable planet. In a previous job, Patrick conceived, designed and launched the first online tool in Canada that allows online investors to assess companies using ESG criteria. Patrick has also worked in television and corporate communications, writing and producing for television, as well as writing extensively for online and print. In his spare time, Patrick reads, writes, walks, meditates and plays with his son.
Veronika Kosova
Veronika is a passionate advocate for environmental awareness. After completing her legal studies and traveling, she relocated to Canada where she is pursuing a career in project management. While dedicating her time to volunteering for SCN, she hopes to inspire others to live a green sustainable lifestyle and participate in green projects. She loves spending time in nature, reading and jogging.
