Our Event team selects the event topic, invites speakers, finds a venue, advertises coordinates and facilitates the event, designs format and activities, and analyzes survey results. Team members will learn about all aspects of event planning and project management. They also get to work closely with the speakers, and learn about many different sustainability topics.
We also have roles in Finance, Volunteer Management, and Communications. Finance is responsible for assisting organizational decision making, building budgets, and updating the books. The Volunteer Management is responsible for recruitment, and developing policies to ensure fairness and effective operations. Communications focuses on everything external-facing – social media, website, newsletter, and creating content like pictures and testimonial videos.
